It's so easy to fall into the routine of working too much, especially as so many of us are working from home. One of the lessons of 2020 is that life is precious and it’s short. Well, I'm here to tell you to take a beat. Find your passion at work, but also find it outside of work. It’s important to work hard AND play hard.
For me, my passion (beyond creating great hair for well-groomed men) is music. I’ve played drums all my life. I love making music with my son, my friends, and by myself too. I make it a point to carve out time each week to hop behind my drum kit. It's a release from the stresses of life, but also a time for me to reconnect with myself.
I like to work hard at the salon each week, and then play hard, literally and figuratively, during my free time. I kept that in mind as I developed V76 – the brand needed products that brought that idea to life. Products that perform but are easy to use. Products that do what you want them to do, but that also create that lived-in, touchable look.
